Design Space Modular Buildings completes a modular office project in Avila Beach
Design Space Modular Buildings completed a 11,000 square foot modular office project in Avila Beach, CA. This project was for PG&E’s Diablo Canyon Nuclear Generating Station. The building was for the project management team for a major steam generator maintenance shutdown. This large modular office complex accommodated their office staff, drug testing facilities, change out rooms, restroom facilities, conference rooms, and IT rooms. In addition to providing the 11,000 foot modular office complex for PG&E, Design Space Modular Buildings also was the successful bidder and provided an 84’x 60’ permanent modular office building to the plant.
Design Space completed a modular daycare building in Emeryville
“Design Space Modular Buildings has successfully completed another major project in San Francisco Bay Area. Recently we delivered and installed a 132×60 modular Daycare building to the City of Emeryville replacing their old and outdated building with a modern and functional building built to the owner’s specifications. This facility will serve the surrounding communities such as Berkeley and Oakland and provides a much needed resource to the city of Emeryville and East Bay in general.”
Design Space Relocates Modular DMV Offices
In addition to providing new modular buildings and mobile offices, Design Space can also re-locate your existing modular space and provide other site services! When the land lease for the California DMV offices (a 48×60 modular building) located in San Bernardino expired, the State of CA turned to Design Space Modular Buildings for a solution. The solution was the beauty of modular buildings themselves. The State secured a new land lease nearby with the National Orange Show, and Design Space moved their building to the new site. Design Space also provided the local DMV personnel with temporary mobile offices and restroom facilities (see photo) while they relocated the 48×60 office and connected utilities at the new location. This allowed the DMW to move their entire operation at this location with a minimal investment and no down time.
Design Space completed the following scope of work within weeks. Disconnecting existing utilities, crane to lift the 48×60 off the concrete foundation, new underground utilities and re-installation of awnings, bollards, ramps and internal phone, data & security systems. The entire project took 45 days. Check back to see new photos upon project completion!
